You can call Mr. Green Plumbing when plumbing problems arise in your Denver home or business, but when a serious plumbing issue occurs, the time it takes for us to get to you can seem like an eternity. Here are few things you should know to prepare for a plumbing emergency:
- Always know where the main water shut-off valve is located in case of a leak.
- Isolation valves stop the flow of water at a specific location. This allows water to continue to run to the rest of the house while a leak is being repaired. Locate each of your plumbing fixtures’ isolation valves so you know where they are in an emergency. Turn each valve in the house on and off at least once a year to keep them in good working condition.
- Know how to turn off the water heater. If it’s a gas water heater, turn the switch to the ‘pilot’ position.
